She asked him questions like, how did you meet, what did youthink about her when you first met her, what's the funniest thing you'vedone together, etc. At the shower, she set up the video and askedme the same questions, and then played the tape with his answers. Itwas really funny, but it did sort of put me on the spot. If she'sopen about her relationship with her fiance and he thinks it would befun, it really was a way for those at the shower to get to know youas a couple. It also leads to some interesting discussions when thebride-to-be finds out exactly WHY he thought they met on a Saturdaywhen it was ACTUALLY a Tuesday!!

Depends what they like to do. Minedidn't really have a theme, just a springtime brunch (March of last year).At my sister-in-law's shower, which I also did for (against:-) my best friend,is to have everyone bring several canned goods for the couple - but withoutthe labels. They get to eat mysteries for a while! I did ask that people not bring any Alpo or similar pet food. They were ready to kill me, but stillliked the idea - for someone else. Of course, my wedding is coming up in a year, so they have plenty of time to plan.Another one is to send out recipe cards with the invitations so everyone canwrite down their favorite recipe and the host can collect them all and present them in a recipe box.We had a round-the-clock shower for one of my college roomates.Each person chose a time, and got a gift related to that time.The 2:00 am person bought a negligee, the 7:00 in the morninga toaster, etc.

At one fun one, they got 3 married couple whowere close to the bride and groom, and played the Newlywed Game with the 4couples. Found out how much the bride and groom really knew each other!In the Newlywed Game, one partner (all the women in one round, all the men inthe other round) leaves the room, and a set of questions is asked to theremaining partners. They are supposed to answer as they think their partnerwould. Their answers are written down, their partners are brought back in andquestioned, and points are scored each time the answers match. For questions,you might start out with pretty simple ones, like facts about the partner'sfamilies, then get more personal. "What was your wife/fiancee's mostembarrassing moment?" "What is something that no one knows about yourhusband/fiance that he wishes everyone knew?" ...etc.
