The arrived looking even more beatiful than Iremembered them and the girls got a great deal! The bonus was that thelocal woman who represented DBS in my hometown also did the alterationson their dress and my dress! In the end all of the dresses looked justperfect, so I say, it's definitely a terrific service!Mollymarried to Jason 5/24/97I purchased a beautiful Alfred Angelo gown through D.B.S., and saved $170.00on the retail cost (and that's including the $20.00 extra I had to pay toaccommodate my six-foot tall frame). It was easy to order through D.B.S.because the rep had every Alfred Angelo catalog from the past four years.All I had todo was find the gown I had seen in the bridal shop in the right catalog.Therep measured me and ordered my gown. I expected at least a twelve week wait,so I was very surprised and delighted when I received my gown in perfectcondition sixweeks early! discount bridal : It's bad enough to repetitively advertise your own services, whileattempting to disguise them as personal recommendations (which everyone onthis group realizes that you are doing!). But then you have the nerve toattempt to disparage a competitor of yours, again not mentioning yourpersonal biases. Yes everyone should check ANY business through the local BetterBusiness Bureau before handing over large sums of money. Don't think thatthe personal/professional recommendation of anyone frequenting this groupis sufficient to protect you in the case of a dispute. I'd bet that and any business they recommend should bethe first to be investigated before contact. discount bridal : Catherine: I used Discount Bridal and was THRILLED with the service and the price! The owners of Discount Bridal work out of their homes so they don't need to charge the price of overhead and inventory. I found the most beautiful dress for $300 less than the boutique at DBS. The woman who ordered my dress has acted as more than just a merchandiser, she's been a complete wedding consultant. She's gotten us discounts on tuxes, accessories and gifts. Working with DBS is a win-win situation all around. I would bet that this company really takes off! The only problem is that they are so busy it's hard to get through on her phone line. So far, the experience has been okay... it was difficult to get in touch with the rep (she's not the "official" rep for my area, and we played phone tag for about 4 weeks), but we managed to get the dresses ordered. I am anxiously awaiting their arrival... The dresses were regularly priced $173, the bridal shop I got my dress through was offering them for $152 (10% off discount for early order), and DBS got them for me for $129.
